Still with the Gothic/Symphonic theme i see. MeloDeath Metal is a new term to me, it works very well though.
As ever such a dramatic feel it it all in song and visuals *****

@FallingAwake aHAHA of course dear Dave! I finish the 5 of the list I had prepared and after I will change of style ! About the MeloDeathMetal.. that comes originally from Sweden via UK and specialists explain than it combines aspects of traditional heavy metal ranging as far as the new wave of British heavy metal, in particular fast riffing & harmonic guitar lines, with heavily distorted guitars, fast double-bass drum patterns, etc... with interesting vocalists (generally nice soprano) the style typically also combines harsh screaming, sung vocals, and death growls ! But like everywhere all is not excellent as you know ! I wish you a great and happy new day...;)

DEMIST is a band from Belgrade (Serbia) in the Gothic, Symphonic, Progressive & MeloDeath Metal genres,...
DEMIST is a band from Belgrade (Serbia) in the Gothic, Symphonic, Progressive & MeloDeath Metal genres, founded in December 2008 by Marko Lukic & Dragica Maleti. A bit later they were joined by Milan Jovac (guitar), Alexander Travica (guitar), Ilija Milanovic (bass). Over the time, the band line-up has had a lot of changes and the last compostion is : Marko Lukic (keyboard), Dragica Maletic (vocals), Ilija Markovic (bass), Stefan Gajic (guitar) and Mladen Jovanov (drums). Contribution to the creation of their 1st album was made by former band members: Milan Jovac (guitar), Alexander Travica (guitar), Ilija Milanovic (bass).

Demist is characterized by distinctive blend of sound based with the formula of male + female vocal growl stocks with new strength and harder, darker undertone strong distortion and dynamic lines of the rhythm section. DEMIST songs range from the sweet, flowing melodies (as in Faith Remains you watch by now and in the ballad Let it Rain) to the harder, heavier & darker songs (such as : Someone's Mirror, Welcome to the Underworld & Nemesis). However, the band remains consistent in its recognizable style, constantly surprising the listener and drawing him deeper into their sound. Amongst their musical influences we can find : Nightwish, Evanescence, Kamelot, Tristania, In Flames, Disturbed, Moonspell, Sins of Thy Beloved.

In 2009, after the release of their first single -Faith Remains-, the band's popularity began to grow beyond the borders of Serbia. Their first album -Guilt and Pleasures- was recorded in the studio -Blaze- and was produced by Milos Mihajlovic. Music, lyrics and arrangements are signed by all the band members and this album contains 10 songs in English. It was released in June 2015. In October 2016, the band got signed with Toil Records, which included digital distribution of Guilt and Pleasures. Then, after promotion tours for Guilt and Pleasures in Serbia and abroad, the band has worked and making new material for the next album, which is planned to be released in early 2017.

But... in a message on 23 March 2017, the band has published : 'a lot has been happening lately, in each member's personal and professional lives, our bass player has stepped out of the band due to same reasons and every other member has devoted their time to more pressing family / professional / emotional matters. This is why, for now, we are officially 'on a break' - no, we are not disbanding ! but the band is currently inactive and we thought we'd let you in on what's going on. when the waters calm and the creative bug bites again, We'll be back with fresh stuff, hope to see you on the other side ! Stay metal, stay safe, stay happy ! Dragica, Marko, Stefan, Mladen.
