Wow i did not know Tarja and Mike Oldfield had worked together, thanks for sharing here my friend. Musically and vocally simplistic, yet so stunning too.
A wonderful dreamy feel both visually and audibly, something to sit back and drink in with your senses. *****
Have a wonderful new week my friend.
@FallingAwake Thanks dear Dave for the comments. Happy you discover this not very known collaboration between Tarja and Mike. This beautiful video was also my 'interlude' between the precedent serie and the new one I am preparing and completely different with intereting surprises. I wish you a very beautiful and happy end of this day. Cheeeerrrss..;)
".....so let's enjoy it and have a nice day!" Indeed! A day made a lot nicer with this amazing video! Tarja coupled with the very prolific and extremely talented Mike Oldfield made for an outstanding collaboration! If romantic interludes are your thing then this video will be your go-to-fix for an instant jolt of sensuality and a brief moment of a fairy tale love encounter. My only negative thought was when the Taj Mahal rose up from the depths of a really dreamy lake! That was taking artistic license to the max:)) Still, Tarja's knows greatness when all she has to do is hum herself through an eight minute video and it turn out so remarkably beautiful!!! What a nice break from the ugliness and craziness of the routine day! It is like taking a relaxing pill sans the side effects. No?
Lovely post Frederyck! Especially liked on a peaceful Sunday afternoon!!
10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HEARTS! LOVED IT!
@EuroGirl Wow, what a wonderful comment dear Amanda ! Thanks a lot for your always very kind words. that's right this video is absolutely beautiful.. a sweet moment of dream in our crazy violent and less and less human world ! I think i will have many difficulties to find more reraxing video in the future, but I have now the idea to separate my series with something completely different... Thanks again and have a peaceful and happy end of this week end. Take care of you my friend. Bizzzz..;)

* Michael Gordon Oldfield a.k.a. Mike OLDFIELD WAS born in Reading (England) on 15 May 1953. His father, Raymond Oldfield, was a general practitioner, and mother Maureen Liston, an Irish nurse. Michael has an older sister Sally and older brother Terry who are also successful musicians and have appeared on several of his albums and a younger brother, David, who died in infancy.
He is a musician and composer despite he learnt by himself how to play the guitar. In 1967, with his sister Sally they formed the folk duo -The Sallyangie- and, after exposure in the local folk scene, were signed to Transatlantic Records. An album titled -Children of the Sun- was released in 1968, but the duo a bit later disbanded. Then Mike formed another duo called -Barefoot- with his brother, which took him back to rock music. Since this time, his work blends progressive rock with world, folk, classical, electronic, ambient, and new-age music.
In 1971 he was launched by Richard Branson who already had several business ventures and was about to start his own record label, Virgin Records, together with Simon Draper. Mike biggest commercial success is the 1973 album Tubular Bells – which became a hit in America after its opening was used as the theme for the film -The Exorcist-. He also recorded the 1983 hit single -Moonlight Shadow- and a rendition of the Christmas piece -In Dulci Jubilo-. He has released more than 20 albums with the most recent being a sequel to his 1975 album titled -Return to Ommadawn- released on 20 January 2017.
* Tarja Soile Susanna TURUNEN CABULI, a.k.a.Tarja TURUNEN, was born on 17 August 1977 in Puhos, near the city of Kitee (Finland). She's is a wonderful Finnish singer-songwriter and composer (full lyric soprano with a vocal range of 3 octaves). In 1993 she attended the Senior Secondary School of Art and Music in Savonlinna. At eighteen, she moved to Kuopio to study at the Sibelius Academy. Tarja enrolled in 2000 at the -German music university Hochschule fur Musik- in Karlsruhe to gain a professional qualification as a soloist with further specialization in art song.
Tarja is well-known as a professional art song singer but best known as the former lead vocalist of the Finnish symphonic metal band -Nightwish-, she founded with Tuomas Holopainen and Erno Vuorinen in 1996. She was dismissed from the band on 21 October 2005, for personal reasons... Then, she started her solo career in 2006 and we can only tell she is very brilliant. Tarja is one of the few artists who can perform at the biggest rock and metal festival one night, in a cathedral the next.
