I like her a lot and since end of 2010 I survey her publications and I can tell that she become better each time ! I have hesitate between the two videos (this one and Love me like you do) but like everybody or almost has seen the movei " 50 Shades of grey", i have supposed they all know this 2015's song.. Elena Jane Ellie Goulding, a.k.a. Ellie GOULDING was born on 30 December 1986 in Hereford (UK) and raised in Lyonshall, a small village and brought up in this small village near Kington, Herefordshire, (UK). Second of four children, she has one brother and two sisters. Her mother, Tracey (born Clark), used to work at a supermarket, and her father, Arthur Goulding, came from a -family of undertakers-. Ellie is singer & songwriter, in the Indie pop, electropop, synthpop, folktronica genres and record producer. Her musical style has been compared to that of Kate Bush, Meiko, Lykke Li and Tracey Thorn. She is also an active philantropist.
At age 9 she began playing the clarinet, and at 14 began learning guitar. She also play the piano, drums, mandolin, tambourine and has a soprano vocal range. She attended Lady Hawkins'School in Kington, where she won a main part in a school production, the Wizard Of Oz, as the scarecrow. She started songwriting at the age of 15 and while in college she won a singing competition. After starting a drama course, politics course, and an English course at the University of Kent, where she was
exposed to electronic music, she developed her sound on the track -Wish I Stayed- with the help of Starsmith and Frankmusik. Starsmith went on to become her chief collaborator and primary producer of -Lights-. After two years at Kent, she was advised to take a gap year to pursue Singing, and moved to West London.
In 2010, she became the 2nd artist to both top the -BBC's annual Sound of 2010 poll- and win the -Critics' Choice Award- at the Brit Awards in the same year, following Adele's win of both in 2008. After signing to Polydor Records in 2009, she released her first EP -An Introduction to Ellie Goulding-. She released her debut studio album -Lights- in 2010. The album debuted at N°1 on the UK Albums Chart and has sold over 850,000 copies in the UK. Her cover of Elton John's -Your Song- reached N°2 in the UK in December 2010, and on 29 April 2011, she performed the song at the wedding reception of Prince William and Kate Middleton at buckingham Palace. Ellie also has worked with Starsmith, Frankmusik, Gabriella Cilmi, Florence & the Machine, Marina & the Diamonds, Keane, Erik Hassle, Mumford & Sons, Skrillex, Swedish House Mafia, Lupe Fiasco, Calvin Harris, The Weeknd, Bon Iver and many others. Ellie's second album -Halcyon- was released in October 2012, debuted at N°2 on the UK Albums Chart, and after 65 weeks, reached N°1. At the 2014 BRIT Awards she received the award for Best British Female. She released her 3rd studio album, titled -Delirium- on 6 November 2015, with -On My Mind- as lead single. In early 2015, she released the song -Love Me Like You Do- to be featured in the soundtrack to the movie adaptation of the hit novel -Fifty Shades of Grey-.
