One of the two songs I like from this band. I remember this from the James Bond motion picture thriller "Casino Royale". Always been a James Bond fan. (◕‿◕)Although not much of a fan of Soundgarden/Audioslave. Still this was a good song and a nice live performance. Enjoyed the feature Frederyck! Many thank yous!!!

LYRICS

If you take a life, do you know what you'll give
Odds are, you won't like what it is
When the storm arrives, would you be seen with me
By the merciless eyes I've deceived

I've seen angels fall from blinding heights
But you yourself are nothing so divine
Just next in line

Refrain : [Arm yourself because no-one else here will save you
The odds will betray you
And I will replace you
You can't deny the prize; it may never fulfill you
It longs to kill you
Are you willing to die ]

The coldest blood runs through my veins
You know my name

If you come inside, things will not be the same
When you return to my night
If you think you've won
You never saw me change
The game that we have been playing

I've seen diamonds cut through harder men
Than you yourself
but if you must pretend
You may meet your end

Refrain : [....]

The coldest blood runs through my veins

Try to hide your hand
Forget how to feel
(Forget how to feel)
Life is gone with just a spin of the wheel
(A spin of the wheel)

Refrain : [....]

The coldest blood runs through my veins
You know my name
(You know my name)
You know my name
(You know my name)
you know my name!
You know my name!
You know my name!

Chris Cornell, in collaboration with David Arnold, wrote the song -You Know My Name-, which was used for James Campbell's James Bond film -Casino Royale-, released in November 2006. A rock hymn with violins in his version for the film, interpreted with conviction by Chris and which he will keep to his repertory in concert.

Christopher John Boyle, A.K.A. Chris CORNELL, was born on 20 July 1964 and raised in Seattle (Washington - USA) from Ed Boyle, a pharmacist of Irish origin, and Karen Cornell, a Jewish accountant. Chris was a musician, singer & songwriter in the alternative metal, heavy metal grunge, alternative rock, and hard rock but also one of the emblematic grunge rock singers whose extensive voice record hid difficult fighting against drugs and depression. Chris (R.I.P.) died at age 52 on 17-18 May 2017, in his hotel room after a concert on the evening of May 17 at the Fox Theater in Detroit (Michigan). Following his death, many artists paid tribute to him, like Jimmy Page (guitarist Led Zeppelin), Billy Idol, Elton John or Joe Perry (Aerosmith).

Chris was having 2 big brothers, Peter & Patrick, as well as 3 little sisters, Katy, Suzy & Maggie. Chris and his brothers and sisters chose their mother's name after their parents' divorce. He explains in the DVD -Audioslave- Live in Cuba, that he spent between the ages 9-11 listening intently to the Beatles after discovering a large collection of abandoned Beatles documents in the basement of a house. He then suffered a severe case of clinical depression during his teenage years. After this bad period, he studied at Shorewood High School, before becoming a professional musician, and working as a seafood wholesaler, then becoming a sub-chef at a restaurant called Ray's Boathouse.
Previously married to Susan Silver, manager of -Audioslave-, -Alice in Chains- and -Soundgarden-, with whom he had a daughter, Lillian Jean, in June 2000, Chris divorced in 2004 to marry shortly after Vicky Karayiannis, a press agent of Greek origin. From this union was born his second daughter, Toni, in September 2004, and a son, Christopher Nicholas, in December 2005.

In the early 1980s, Chris was a member of a cover band called -The Shemps- that performed around Seattle, also featuring bassist Hiro Yamamoto. Chris and Hiro stayed in contact, and after The Shemps broke up, they started jamming together. Then in 1984, they founded the band -Soundgarden- with the guitarist Kim Thayil. Chris is then drummer and singer of the trio. The arrival of another drummer - Scott Sundquist and then Matt Cameron, from 1986 until a first separation of the group in 1997 - allow Chris to pass to the position of singer and guitarist. Powerfully original, they were the first of their generation of Seattle bands to sign to a major label in 1989 and their work continued to evolve over the course of 7 groundbreaking albums. -Soundgarden- made an historic return to the live stage in 2010...
