@Beth_Cassidy11 Thank you so much Beth, very kind of you. Like the other early Delain song and i suppose all the song i have made videos for, its what I see when listening to them. And hopefully they match to what others may see/feel too. 🎶💖🎶 Love and hugs XXX 🎶💖🎶
Quite the rarity from Delain's almost forgotten 'Amenity' demo. Just a few recall that there was life before the cd "Lucidity". OK, maybe more than just a few but you would not know it from fans who consider themselves symphonic metal-heads:)) Always the blank stares and then "Oh yeah, I remember that track from the 'whatchamacallit ' album...I think". Really can not hold it against them. The band still had a bit more evolving left before they became the ministers or the 'go-to' guys of Symphonic metal. Odd, Westerholt swears this was not the awakening of Delain. He often said the music was written before and all that was needed was the right musicians to breath live into his project. IDK if he ever found the right musicians because only Westerholt remains from that time. What became of Invernizzi? On a final note, Don't you just love the name Otto Schimmelpenninck van der Oije? (✿◠‿◠)♥
10★★★★★★★★★★STARS! Just a great job on the video Dave!
@EuroGirl Funny you sound mention "Amenity". Thats what i am posting next (with LOTR again as my vid too) as again i saw LOTR when i listened to the song. But also posting it to show how the song was reworked into "Silhouette of a Dancer", used on their Lucidity album.
Your musical knowledge amazes me Amanda, you know far much more than i. Glad to see you say though "Really can not hold it against them", because most, including myself, just tend to know the track that they hear and dont look too far into it all. I think that goes through all genres not just Symphonic Metal. Otto is probably busy trying to find ways to make it easier to Google himself, and Invernizzi is probably working in backing vocals, or forming her own Delain Tribute band, lol.
Thanks Amanda, glad you liked my video, and always fantastic comments. Hugs xxx
You are so right, it fits perfectly with the video! I have always felt the right type of visuals help to enhance the music listening experience, and this one is a perfect example of just how that works. Excellent song, and well done Dave!
@Sacred_Trickster With the overall sound and feel of this, and then the standout voices, every time i heard this i knew what video i wanted to make for it. I will be posting another video using LOTR/Delain soon. Another Early Delain song that they later reworked and used on their debut album Lucidity.
Thank you mate, if my videos help to enhance the songs then thats as much as i could ever wish to do with them. Thanks Rob.
Wow.. Nice track from the first album produced by Delain with the beautiful voice of Anne Invernizzi who was in the first line-up of Delain (2002).. completely refounded in 2005. The second team has given an other dimension and style to the band ! Nice video selection too my friend ! I wish you a very beautiful and happy week end..;)
@Frederyck I love Anne's voice here, Charlotte's voice too when they formed as a band but i wont try to compare them as they are both great in their own ways. And yes Delain certainly had their new style from 2005.
Glad you liked my video for it too. Thanks my friend.
MY VIDEO. Early Delain when they were a "project". The female lead here is Anne Invernizzi,...
MY VIDEO. Early Delain when they were a "project". The female lead here is Anne Invernizzi, before Charlotte Wessels joind the band.
The song has nothing to do with the movie, but i think fits very well. Another Delain/LOTR vid to come soon. This song is also a "demo" of their later song *Daylight Lucidity*.
