SALT ASHES - Save It -
Veiga Sanchez, a.k.a. SALT ASHES, was born on 25 Januaray 1991 and grew up in Brighton - East Sussex (UK). At an early age she knew she wanted to pursue a career in music, from singing -Eternal Flame- by the Bangles at the top her lungs, to dancing and performing in front of her parents camcorder, ultimately led to her attending college for singing. Amongst her influences she cites, early Madonna, Luther Vandross, Giorgio Moroder, Change, Daft Punk, Linstrøm, Bjork, Depeche Mode, Kate Bush, Radiohead and MIA.
Veiga / Salt Ashes is a nice singer, songwriter and producer in the dark and synth-pop music genres. Her artist name Salt Ashes comes from her hometown of Brighton where, closed to the sea there are many wooden canoes on shore. The words -Salt Ashes- was carved into one of those boats and inspired her. She originally started playing with a live band and quickly discover after a few gigs that something wasn’t right, so she took some time out and messed around with logic...
